The firm is led by principal Architect, Irv Kaage. Irv’s experience includes a wide range of project types. He has designed and completed many beautiful custom homes in the state of Wisconsin, North Shore of Chicago, New Jersey shore and the Boston area. Irv’s institutional commercial work includes senior living and Alzheimer's care facilities, financial institutions and universities as well as a variety of restaurant and retail buildings.
With 25 years of design experience, Irv is knowledgeable in the necessary processes for a successful project. Irv seamlessly navigates clients through design phases with a hard-working nature and a light-hearted demeanor – making the process an enjoyable and exciting progression of ideas. Committed to surpassing client expectations, his acute grasp of structure, proportion, materials and details enables him to help transform a client’s creative vision into a physical environment which supports and inspires them.
Known for his expertise in traditional and classical architectural styles, Irv's portfolio reflects his dedication to excellence and the uniqueness of each project. His designs evolve from an appreciation of the functional and aesthetic priorities of his clients.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Irv indulges in his passion for nature as an amateur arborist. He has nurtured the growth of thousands of Japanese Hinoki cypress trees, and is working toward an imminent goal for the establishment of a flourishing Hinoki forest amidst the smoky mountains of Tennessee.
In addition to his botanical endeavors, Irv is a serious theological student and progressing toward the attainment of a master’s degree in Divinity. In the Flow of Divine Providence is the title of a book he has authored to share his perspective on Religion. Irv’s ultimate goal is to lead a ministry and build an architecturally significant village community devoted to the nurturing of young families.
